Overview
A template is a reusable pattern that tells Regoxa exactly which fields to pull from a document, and where to find them. Set one up once for a document layout — like your standard invoice or bank statement — and reuse it every time you extract data from that layout, instead of mapping fields by hand each time.

To create a template, complete the following steps in order:
1
Start a new template
Go to the Template page and click Create Template.
2
Choose a source document
Browse or search My Files for a document, or upload a new one, to use as the basis for your template.
3
Get to know the Template Editor
The editor opens with a Fields panel, a Document Preview, and a Save Template button.
4
Add a field
Create a field for each piece of data you want to extract, with a name, output format, and validation.
5
Map the field to the document
Draw a box on the document preview around the content each field should capture.
6
Adjust mapped fields as needed
Reposition, resize, rename, or delete any mapped field on the preview.
7
Save the template
Name your template and tag it so you can find it later.
